Organizational History:

The Association NAVA is a non-profit organisation located in National Capital Region-Gurgaon, Delhi, INDIA. NAVA was founded in February 2007 to preserve and promote ancient Indian Classical Dance-Drama. Indian Dance, despite much evolution and development maintains many of its original characteristics and has been preserved in an unbroken tradition for many millennia. It is based on a profoundly spiritual philosophy, and to this day it is a spiritual art form. The first evidence of written document about Indian dance-drama comes from the Vedas, Indian sacred texts written more than 4000 years ago. Inspite of such a rich heritage, Indian dance, particularly Indian classical dance, while flourishing in India, still needs much more exposure.

The primary purpose of NAVA is to present this art in its various modes/places in india and abroad. The secondary purpose is to educate the globel young-new generation about Indian dance,Performing arts, visual art forms, drama and music through performances and concerts. Our work is a pioneering effort aimed at enriching the cultural scope of all residents of India/south asia.
